"All About Bipartisanship" - Comments

Trey S. Fleming - Democrat Speaks:

TAYLOR: How important is good leadership during times of crisis? FLEMING: Crucial.

TAYLOR: Do you consider yourself to be a leader? If so, in what way? FLEMING: Yes. I've been a successful leader in the business community and political past and take the stance that if I have the ability and drive to address the core issues facing Texans today then it is incumbent upon me to do so.

TAYLOR: Other than yourself, who is the most effective leader you know alive today? FLEMING: General David Petraeus (based on troop leadership in an extremely difficult global political environment), Jack Welch (based on pragmatic idealism in business), Barack Obama (based on leading a national movement for change)

TAYLOR: Why should Harris County-area voters choose you on Tuesday, November 4th? FLEMING: Why should Harris County-area voters choose you on Tuesday, November 4th? I am an aggressive and thoughtful candidate who is focused on issues that matter to this district. I have talked with well over 10,000 residents of this district and I firmly believe that my positions as a conservative Democrat is what Texas and House District 135 is looking for. I am anxious to work with members of both parties to solve the more challenging issues that Texas will face in the next 25 years.

Alfred N. Montestruc - Libertarian Speaks:

TAYLOR: How important is good leadership during times of crisis? MONTESTRUC: Good leadership is always important, especially in times of crisis.

TAYLOR: Do you consider yourself to be a leader? If so, in what way? MONTESTRUC: Yes, I do what I think is right regardless of personal consequences.

TAYLOR: Other than yourself, who is the most effective leader you know alive today? MONTESTRUC: I think that would probably be Dr. Ron Paul.

TAYLOR: Why should Harris County-area voters choose you on Tuesday, November 4th? MONTESTRUC: I will stand up for the people of my district in seeing to it that they get good quality government service at a reasonable price and that they get honest government.
