Taylor why Harris County voters should choose him in the Nov. 7, 2006, General Election HASSAN: "I am 53 years old and was born in Sohag, Egypt 450 miles south of Cairo; home of the Ancient Pyramids and Great Sphinx. I am prepared to help the country I love to bridge gaps to the Middle East. It's time out for cheap talk. I believe the time for change has come for Congressional District 18. My desire is to usher in that change I'm speaking about. I promise to represent the entire district with honesty, dignity, and sincerity knowing that the position of U.S. Representative is one for the people working for you! I understand the importance of commitment and I aim to dedicate myself to you just as I have dedicated myself to my wife and family for over 26 years. I have three wonderful children all in their twenties of whom I am very proud. My wife is an R.N. as well as a law school graduate with a degree in management; she comes from a family that has fought in every war for the United States since the birth of our nation. I believe my education and experience has prepared me for this moment. I am a Law School Graduate with a J.D. (Juris Doctorate) Degree and a Bachelors Degree in Management. I also graduated from Industrial Technical College in Cairo, Egypt and I'm a licensed real-estate broker and Mortgage broker as well. I've served as a civilian at a U.S. Air Force Base. My Experience as a negotiator and mediator, both internationally and locally will also aid our District should you choose to elect me. My vast experience is unmatched by my opponents in this race. I have worked in the Public Affairs Office of the Ministry of Defense in Kuwait. I've Owned and operated a professional soccer team; served as the Director of Food and Nutrition at a Medical Center; Owned and Operated retail stores and restaurants. Furthermore, I was nominated twice for Sedgwick County Commissioners Court in Kansas.
