Eric Story (Candidate for U.S. Congress Distict 29) Talks to Houston Business Connections: Tells Publisher Aubrey R. Taylor why Harris County voters should choose him in the Nov. 7, 2006, General Election STORY: "I am a Christian Conservative running in a very conservative District. The residents of Congressional District 29 (CD 29) have had little choice in the past. This has resulted in their being represented by a man that votes in favor of abortion for any reason at any time, in favor of homosexual marriage and adoption, for higher taxes and higher gas prices. I am solid Pro-Life, Pro-Family. I believe in smaller government, legal immigration, lower taxes, and reduced government spending. Unlike my opponent, I support our troops of not only current, but past wars. He has recently voted against funding for Veterans Health Care. I would never do this to our heroes. In short, CD 29 needs a choice that believes in America and will place America and Americans first. I am a working class man that has experienced and still experience the things that the residents of CD 29 face on a daily basis. My beliefs and firm stand on the issues line up with the people, not a political party. I CARE ABOUT PEOPLE, NOT POLITICS. I also support term limits and pledge to run for no more than 6 terms. I believe that 12 years should be the maximum any Senator or Representative should serve. I humbly request your support and your vote." |
